It's probably safe to say a healthy portion of the crowd at the Brewery on the night of Luke's show had never heard Luke's voice. It's also safe to say that after the first song, most of the people still hadn't. Luke can be very quietly dynamic, especially if his guitar isn't plugged in. After patching back in, Luke kept things delicate, almost daring the audience to ignore him. This actually worked perfectly, since once Luke starts singing, he's impossible to ignore. Four songs or so into his set, you could've heard someone cough, if not whisper. With a cold foggy night providing the scene with just the right amount of natural, ambient mystery, it was hard not to just drift away with the songs. By the end of the show, Luke definitely had more members in his cult - uh, we mean, new fans.
