We got an email from a someone saying that she grew up down the road from us, studied recording at the Berklee College of Music, and had a record that she was putting the finishing touches on. Our interest was piqued. After meeting her in person during a homecoming visit (from her current base of L.A.), it was a done deal. Kati was legit: a talented folk songwriter who knew her way around the studio (not a requirement, but it's just cool). Kati arrived for her session with two incredibly talented and versatile musicians in tow, guitarist Asaf Rodeh and drummer Paul Herd. What followed was pretty much ideal - a true engineer's session, full of experimentation and ear candy.
